Services
I work as an integrative therapist, which means I draw from a wide range of methods rather than relying on a single approach. Every person and every moment calls for something different. Below are some of the approaches I may use in our work together, depending on your needs and goals.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
EMDR is a structured method designed to help people process difficult or traumatic memories. By using guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps the brain reprocess experiences so they feel less overwhelming and can be integrated in a healthier way.
Parts Work
Parts work is based on the idea that we all have different “parts” of ourselves (inner dialogues, roles, or patterns) that show up in different situations. This approach helps you recognize, understand, and work with these parts so they can become more cooperative and less conflicting.
Somatic Practices
Our bodies carry stress, memory, and emotion. Somatic practices focus on connecting with physical sensations and signals in the body as a way of processing and healing. This can include grounding, movement, or mindful attention to how experiences are felt physically.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a practical approach that looks at the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It helps you identify unhelpful patterns of thinking and replace them with more balanced perspectives, supporting positive changes in mood and action.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
DBT combines acceptance and change strategies. It teaches skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and effective communication. It’s especially helpful for people who experience strong emotions or struggle with self-destructive patterns.
Creative Methods
Sometimes words aren’t enough. Creative methods invite expression through art, imagery, writing, or perhaps other nonverbal forms. These approaches can help uncover insight and healing in ways that feel natural, playful, or deeply intuitive.
My Perspective
I ground all of my work in existential, feminist, and humanistic perspectives. That means I believe healing involves making meaning in life, honoring each person’s freedom and responsibility, and valuing your unique lived experience. I strive to create a space that respects culture, diversity, identity, and choice, where you feel seen, supported, and empowered.
